Tri-State Projects win prestigious award

The two largest projects Tri-State has been involved with in the past few years have contributed to a joint prize of the 2009 Edison Award.  Norhteast Utilities was recognized (in part) for the Middletown-Norwalk project, and American Transmission Company for the Arrowhead-Weston project. Tri-State Drilling installed the majority of the drilled foundations on these remarkably challenging projects.

According to the official press release, "The Edison Award recognizes U.S. and international electric companies for outstanding leadership, innovation and advancement of the electric industry. A panel of past electric company CEOs selects the award winners.  This year's award, the 82nd annual, was presented in San Francisco at the EEl Annual Convention/Expo."

The Edison Award winner is chosen by The Edison Electric Institute (EEl), which is the association of U. S. shareholder-owned electric companies. EEI members serve 95 percent of the ultimate customers in the shareholderowned segment of the industry, and represent approximately 70 percent of the U.S. electric power industry.
