At Tri-State, our insurance policy renews every August, so this is the time of year when we receive the experience modification rate (EMR) that will be applied for the coming year. For the second year in a row our EMR went down, this time quite significantly.
For the next insurance year, our EMR is 0.87, which is well below the industry standard, defined as 1.0.
We could not have achieved this without the strong, successful efforts of all employees. This progress directly measures how they have improved our safety record.
